Clutter does affect our lives. A common denominator from people is the feeling of being overwhelmed. This is largely because of too much stuff, therefore creating clutter.
This does not just apply to physical things, such as paper, clothing, or books. It is in our digital world: emails, voicemail, text, applications. This becomes stressful when we don’t have systems in place and it takes 30 minutes to an hour to find things. The Centers for Disease Control says that 80% of our medical expenditures are stress related—$300 billion worth! Studies have shown that 80% of the time, we use 20% of our favorite things. Get Organized (GO Month) Starts January 2015!
January is GO Month! This month-long national public awareness campaign by the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) promotes the benefits of getting organized, and offers strategies, suggestions and solutions to help the public become more organized and productive at home and at work. NAPO professional organizers and productivity specialists across the country host events in their communities to empower individuals, families and businesses to regain control over their surroundings, time and possessions.
